Dare to Care ATL

Who we are:  We’re Dare to Care ATL, and our mission is to help our most vulnerable neighbors in Atlanta.  They come in different shapes and sizes and colors and ages,  but they all have one thing in common–they could use a little help that they can’t get on their own.

How we help:  It starts with understanding, and then helping to fill our vulnerable neighbors’ needs.  Some need clothing, some are hungry, some are battered some need medical attention, some need shelter, some just need to be cared about.
Dare to Care ATL facilitates charitable giving to help fill these needs.

Success Story:Dare to Care ATLorganized its’ first community clothing drive in December.  We collected over 5,000 in-kind donations that were distributed directly to our vulnerable neighbors in Atlanta with the help of Church on the Street, Operation SafeHouse and Clifton Sanctuary Ministries.

What’s next?  We’re raising funds to complete our 501 c3 status, and to  pay for our trademark and business fees, we’re about to paint our offices in Peachtree Center that were donated by Parkway Management, and we’re planning our next charitable event…in other words, we’re very, very busy!

What can you do?  Contact us!  Call Lucy…she loves to talk about Dare to Care ATL and would love to speak to you.

And We’re Off!

Dare to Care Atl officially launched last Thursday in Peachtree Center.  Parkway Property Management has been unbelievable.  They’re supporting us in ways that we never imagined.  They’ve provided us with office space for a Donation Center, beautiful signage, donation bins, e-mail blasts…they’re just incredible.  They’ve been fantastic partners!

Last Thursday we opened our Donation Center and launched our Charity Drive for Living Needs for our most vulnerable neighbors.  We started actively accepting in-kind and financial contributions.  Our first Donation was sitting at the front door Thursday morning before we even opened the Donation Center!

Dare to Care Atl Day 1 at Peachtree Center

We set up in the Food Court in Peachtree Center.  We were well staffed with friends from the organizations we’re supporting:  Church on the Street, Clifton Sanctuary Ministries and SafeHouse Outreach.  We had a great time and are going to do it again this Thursday.

Peachtree Center is co-sponsoring a Glove Drive today and tomorrow.  At first glance, it appears to be well over 100 gloves!

We have a favor to ask of anyone reading this.  We need to make a lot of friends fast.  Please share this post on your FB page and ask your Friends to Friend us!

We’ll keep you posted!
